Winter 2009

As I update this page the flowers are blooming and the sound of lawnmowers buzz through the open windows. It is spring in Minneapolis. But I still have winter photos to share. The spring ones will come soon. Above is Lily & I at our 1st annual neighborhood Winter Warmer. It took place at Hiawatha Park, down the street. They had ice skating, face painting (notice Lil's cheek) and horse-drawn hayrides. It was the perfect thing to get us out of the house and break up the winter duldrums.

Jacintha has practiced sitting up so much that she's really got it down now.

We did a quick trip to the Winter Carnival in Saint Paul this year. It was a gorgeous day and by the time we got there most of the ice sculptures were half melted. But this throne was still standing string. Lily was pretending she was the queen of the carnival waving to her people.

Welcome to my Snow Palace! Daddy and I built this together and it has a tunnel I can go through. The best part are the ice jewels decorating the palace!

Jacintha gets ready for her first swim at Grandpa Lang's birthday party.
